The CEBA Connect: Spring Summit 2024, held from May 22 to May 24 at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Colorado, brought together over 600 energy and sustainability professionals from more than 400 member organizations. This premier event, dedicated to advancing a carbon-free energy future, provided attendees with a platform to learn, collaborate, and celebrate the strides made in the clean energy sector over the past five years.
Celebrating Five Years of CEBA
The summit marked a significant milestone: five years of CEBA. This achievement was celebrated with a special reception where attendees enjoyed light fare and entertainment. The celebration highlighted CEBA's journey and accomplishments in promoting clean energy and fostering a collaborative community of sustainability professionals. The event underscored the progress made and the continued commitment of CEBA to drive significant changes in the clean energy landscape.
Engaging Breakout Sessions and Deep Dives
Throughout the summit, participants engaged in a variety of breakout sessions and deep dive discussions. These sessions covered a broad range of topics, from energy fundamentals and clean energy finance to policy developments and supply chain sustainability. One of the standout sessions was hosted by representatives from Mt. Stonegate. We led a table conversation focused on clean energy procurement in Asia, addressing the challenges and potential solutions in markets such as China, Japan, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia. This session provided valuable insights into the latest developments and strategies for overcoming obstacles in these regions, including Virtual Power Purchase Agreements (VPPAs), Green Tariffs, and Unbundled Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs). The discussion also emphasized the importance of understanding local market conditions and regulatory environments to successfully navigate these complex markets.
